Kelvin Harmon Scouting Report
Weight: 214 lbs
Two-year Biletnikoff Award Watchlist. Seven 100+ yard receiving games in career. 2018 Columbus Touchdown Club Player to Watch. In this Kelvin Harmon scouting report, we breakdown where the NC State wide receiver fits into the NFL.
What I Like:
This play really has a bit of everything I like about Kelvin Harmon. He combines his above average footwork and intuition to manipulate the linebacker and open up space in the middle of the field. Later in the play, he displays excellent balance to keep going after a missed tackle.
What I Dislike:
Using Hands To Create Separation
Maybe I’m nitpicking here, but I’d like to see Harmon be more physical and use his hands to create separation from the defender. Currently, Harmon is using his footwork and route running abilities to create separation. Harmon will face stronger and more physical defenders at the next level and must impose his will to beat defenders.
Kelvin Harmon isn’t afraid to get dirty and lay a block on a defender. He shows a selfless ability to ensure that his teammates can get the yardage needed to continue the drive. Harmon excels at blocking and drives through the defender to create holes.
Kelvin harmon has been an underrated receiver for the past several seasons. He has all the tools to succeed, and in my opinion, might be the most pro-ready prospect in the receiving class. He displays above average as a blocker, as well as excellent traits as a route runner.
Draft Round Prediction
Second to Third Round
While it could be possible to sneak into the first round, I think it’s much more possible to see Harmon off the board in the middle of the second round. I have Harmon as the fourth receiver on my Big Board.
