Within the past week, several conferences, including the Big Ten and Pac-12, have opted to alter their collegiate schedules. The coronavirus pandemic remains a fluid situation, so it’s no surprise that the season won’t be played as originally scheduled. On Friday, Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren announced that the Big Ten would play a conference-only schedule in 2020. By doing so, this will grant the conference some much-needed flexibility in scheduling should an outbreak occur. As is the case now, the league could potentially suspend play for several weeks. Should they do so, they’ll still hit the same target for…

Nestled in the middle of the State of Iowa lies the city of Ames, home of the Iowa State Cyclones. On the roster for the Iowa State Cyclones is an old school tight end, Charlie Kolar. While I’ll breakdown his playing-style later in this article, in short, he plays the position the way that it should be. Kolar looks for contact and punishes defenders that get in his way. The University of Cincinnati hasn’t had a quarterback selected in the NFL Draft since Tony Pike was chosen in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Desmond Ridder, the team’s current quarterback, seems to be in a prime position to change that. After a pair of eleven win season the past two years, another solid performance could propel Desmond Ridder into the 2021 NFL Draft discussion. Ridder is coming off of an injury to his throwing shoulder, which appeared to impact his play the second half of the 2019 season. Ben Bryant, the backup quarterback for the Bearcats, stepped…

Barring unforeseen circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, we could see college football in 2020. With quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Jake Fromm now in the National Football League, the SEC could potentially be wide open. If the Florida Gators are able to make noise in the SEC East, look for the Gators to do it behind Kyle Pitts, Florida’s junior tight end. ESPN’s Mel Kiper listed Kyle Pitts 23rd overall in his first big board of the 2021 NFL Draft process. In fact, Kiper had two tight ends listed on his board. This is refreshing after we didn’t see a tight…
