Five Prospects The New York Giants Could Target With Sixth Overall Pick In 2019 NFL Draft

So the New York Giants are sitting at #6 and they have massive holes to fill. Do they go QB or do they pass on one again and possible wait at 17 or trade for Josh Rosen? Here are 5 prospects the Giants should consider at 6.

Be sure to follow NFL Draft Lounge for more coverage on the New York Giants and the 2019 NFL Draft. As always, you can find us on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

1) Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio State

The giants desperately need to find their QB of the future and what better way to start that then drafting Haskins at #6. He has all the physical tools you love in a QB and hes a a great kid. In any other yr he probably wins the Heisman trophy if it weren’t for Tua or Kyler. He’s a special talent and can sit behind Eli and learn from a 2x champion.

2) Ed Oliver DT Houston

He might be my favorite player in the draft. He jumps off my screen and his explosiveness along with his hands are just special.

3) Jawaan Taylor OT Florida

My top OT in the draft and the Giants desperately need to upgrade at RT and Taylor could be the perfect fit. He has the size to even shift to LT if Solder play continues to dip. He combines great run and pass blocking and moves in space swiftly.

4) Montez Sweat Edge Miss St

Giants were at the bottom of the league in sacks (30) and with the departure of Vernon that leaves a huge hole for the giants. Montez Sweat could be the answer at 6. Hes a physical freak at 6-6 260 and ran 4.41 at the combine. 22 sacks the last two yrs. He’s cat like off the ball and has active hands that hell him shed off blockers.

5) Drew Lock QB Missouri

GIANTS NEED A QB!!! Now I’m not one to say teams should take a player of need just cause they need him but Lock has grown on me. He has great arm strength and had improve with the decision making. I know his pro day was hit and miss i still love his size with tremendous upside. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Giants pulled the trigger on Lock, or any other quarterback, here in the 2019 NFL Draft.
