This summer, as we were preparing our Top 100 2021 NFL Draft Prospects, we had Kyle Trask ranked 75th overall. To go further, we had Trask ranked as the sixth best quarterback. However, given how well’s playing, and the progress that he’s shown from last season, it might be time to talk about Kyle Trask as a top 2021 NFL Draft prospect.
In fact, I’ll just go ahead and say it… Kyle Trask is playing like a first round quarterback.
This season, Trask has been better across the board. His ability to process the defense and make accurate reads downfield is happening much more quickly. He’s playing the game more confidently. Quite honestly, he’s playing better than anyone could have imagined.
Where Will Kyle Trask Be Drafted In The 2021 NFL Draft?
When it comes to the 2021 NFL Draft, Trask is undoubtedly playing like a first round prospect. If he’s able to continue this high level of play, he’ll certainly find his name being called on day one. To go a step further, I think he has a shot at cracking the top three quarterbacks.
With North Dakota State QB Trey Lance only having one game this season, and Ohio State QB Justin Fields yet to take the field for the Buckeyes, Kyle Trask remains the sexy option right now.
What Teams Could Target Kyle Trask In The 2021 NFL Draft?
Well, this question is somewhat complicated. Depending on how well Kyle Trask plays the rest of the season, he could very well work his way into the top ten of the NFL Draft. If that’s the case, we could see Atlanta, both New York franchises, or even Denver target him.
However, I believe that Trask welcome off the board around the latter half of the NFL Draft. This could put teams like Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, and Pittsburgh in a perfect position to find their next franchise quarterback.
