Now that the Super Bowl has come and gone, and the college all-star circuit is complete, it’s time to focus on the 2020 NFL Draft. One of the most integral parts of the draft process is the NFL Combine.

The NFL Scouting Combine is a week-long showcase in February at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the home of the Indianapolis Colts. The Combine sees draft-eligible college players partake in a variety of tests in front of NFL coaches and GMs, and also scouts.

Some of the NFL Combine tests include: the 40-yard dash, Bench press (225-lbs reps), vertical and broad jumps, as well as position-specific drills. In addition, players participate in team interviews, physical measurements and the infamous Wonderlic test.

NFL Combine: Invitees

This year, the league has invited 337 players to the NFL Combine.

There will be 17 quarterbacks at the Combine, including presumed No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow. In addition to Burrow, Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa is slanted to attend the combine. He’s coming back from a major hip injury. Some of the other quarterbacks invited include Jacob Eason, Jake Fromm, Justin Herbert and Jordan Love

30 running backs have been invited to participate, too. Among that number includes J.K. Dobbins, D’Andre Swift and Jonathan Taylor

55 wideouts received an invitation to the NFL Combine, including 1st-round talents Justin Jefferson, Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Reagor. The 40-yard dash will be of particular interest for this group, considering how closely bunched these prospects are.

51 offensive linemen secured an invite, as well as 46 defensive linemen. Among those is presumptive No. 2 overall selection Chase Young. Other potential top-10 talents in those groups is DLs Derrick Brown and Javon Kinlaw, and OTs Jedrick Wills and Andrew Thomas.

61 defensive backs and 44 linebackers earned invites as well.  It will be interesting to see where potential top-5 selection Isaiah Simmons slots.

There will be 12 Specialists among the invites, too.

NFL Combine: Schools

Players from LSU earned the most invites with 16. Michigan and Ohio State both saw 11 of their players get a spot. Alabama will have 10 players at the NFL Combine; similarly, Georgia sports 10 invites. Even the Miami Hurricanes sent a eight players to the Combine, despite a disappointing 2019 season.
