Nate Wiggins 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 4.45* seconds

Nate Wiggins is a third year player for the Clemson Tigers. He plays the cornerback position, and is often times lined up at the far end of the field on an island. He possesses very good height and adequate weight for the cornerback position when compared to the NFL average. Our projected 40 time of 4.45 seconds is on par with the league average as well.

Wiggins displays solid use of hands at the line of scrimmage to establish leverage, as well as disrupt the timing of the route. Shows a good ability to wrap-up the ball carrier and will rarely miss a tackle. He has excellent range to attack the ball carrier and disrupt the pass at the catch point from deep zone coverage.

However, Wiggins could improve upon the lines that he takes towards the ball carrier when he’s in coverage. Displays an adequate ability to hang with receivers on deep routes outside of the numbers. Poor ability to get his head turned back towards the ball on downfield routes when engaged with the receiver. Adequate ability to handle quickness off the line of scrimmage. Poor ability to shed blocks in the open-field so that he can attack the ball carrier. Finally, I’d like to see him play with a higher motor than he currently does, as he doesn’t engage on plays that he’s not directly involved in.

Recruiting Bio

Nate Wiggins graduated from Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia, where he played football for head coach Bobby May. He was a consensus four-star recruiting prospect in 2021, with his highest national ranking coming from 247 Sports, who had him as their 76th overall prospect in the class. He scored a 93.59 in the On3 Industry Ranking, which put him 119th overall in their rankings.

Prior to his arrival at Clemson, Nate Wiggins had offers from LSU, Florida State, Oregon, along with many other top programs. In August of 2020, Wiggins announced that he would be committing to the LSU Tigers. However, a few months later in December, Wiggins decommitted, opting to join Clemson instead. He signed his letter of intent a few days later, with an early enrollment coming in January of 2021.

He has an estimated NIL worth of $310,000.
