2024 NFL Draft: TJ Tampa Draft Profile and Scouting Report
TJ Tampa joined the Iowa State Hawkeyes as a member of the 2020 recruiting class. As a freshman in 2020, he appeared in nine games for the Hawkeyes as a reserve and special teams player. The following season, he started five gams while appearing in 13, where he finished with 18 total tackles and 3 passes defended. Tampa became a full-time starter in 2022, ending the year with 40 tackles, 1 interception, 9 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble, along with second team All-Big 12 honors. In 2023, TJ Tampa was named a third-team All-American by the AP, as well as first team All-Big 12 honors by the league’s coaches and AP.
