Joining the Tar Heels as an early enrollee in the 2020 class, Cedric Gray made an impact immediately as he played in all 12 games as a true freshman. The following season, he started 11 of 13 games that year, finishing with 99 total tackles and 2 interceptions. He earned first-team All-ACC and second-team All-American honors in 2022, where he ended up with 145 total tackles, including 12 tackles for a loss and 2 interceptions.
