Strengths

Marvin Harrison Jr, the son of Indianapolis Colts great Marvin Harrison, saw limited playing time as a freshman. However, as a sophomore, he quickly proved himself as one of the best receivers in college football. Out of high school, Harrison Jr was a four-star prospect in the state of Pennsylvania.

Harrison Jr was a consistent presence at outside receiver for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2022. Our projected 40 time of 4.43 seconds shows that he possesses a high-level of quickness and acceleration. He possesses a good ability to use quickness and explosiveness through the stem of the route to create separation vertically. However, his quickness off the line of scrimmage can be inconsistent. Displays good suddenness at the top of the route to create separation form the defender at the break. He has an excellent ability to track the ball over his shoulder downfield, as well as in traffic. However, his catch radius appears to be limited. Shows to have a very good ability to adjust and catch uncomfortable passes near his body. Struggles with quickness to reach his blocking assignments from the line of scrimmage. Additionally, his blocking technique is sloppy and inconsistent.

Marvin Harrison Jr was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As part of St. Joseph’s, his teams won three-straight Pennsylvania 6A state championships. He was a consensus four-star prospect in the class of 2021 among all of the major recruiting websites. Additionally, he was a consensus top 100 prospect.
