Emani Bailey began playing college ball at the University of Louisiana as a true freshman in 2020, when he spent the season as a reserve player. He carried the ball over 100 times the following season in 2021, ending the year with 642 yards and 8 touchdowns. After the 2021 season, Emani Bailey announced that he would enter the transfer portal. He joined TCU in 2022, where he led the Big 12 with 8.1 yards per rushing attempt. He broke out in 2023, finishing the season with 1,209 yards on 223 attempts and 8 touchdowns.
