Edgerrin Cooper 40 Time

Official 40 Time: 4.51 seconds

Edgerrin Cooper is a four-year contributor at inside linebacker for the Texas A&M Aggies. He’s quick and athletic with abilities to rush the passer or drop into coverage. He possesses solid height and weight for the position when compared to the league average. Our projected 40 time of 4.55 seconds is much quicker than the average for inside linebackers.

Cooper displays good quickness and acceleration to corner and attack the quarterback off the edge. Shows very good movement when dropped into coverage with above average lateral agility. He’s aggressive with his hands to eliminate the opponent’s leverage and attack the ball at the second level.

However, I would like to see tighter coverage from him versus the tight end or running back on short and intermediate routes. At times, he’s struggled to read and identify the ball in traffic from the second level. He will overplay the read-option at times, creating a large cushion behind him for routes across the middle of the field.
