  • Excellent short burst and strong acceleration.
  • Ridiculously strong hands. Makes ridiculous catches outside of his frame and with one hand.
  • Excellent, borderline elite, run-after-catch ability.

Weaknesses

  • While he has good short burst, Corley doesn’t display a lot of long speed.
  • Decent route-running, but not particularly defined through his breaks.
  • Struggles to catch through contact at times.

2024 NFL Draft: Malachi Corley Draft Profile and Scouting Report

Malachi Corely entered campus at Western Kentucky in 2020 as a low 3-star recruit from Campbellsville, Kentucky. He found his way to the field in 2020, playing in five games while making his first career start against Charlotte. He would find his way into the starting rotation in 2021 as a redshirt freshman, never missing a game until his declaration for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Malachi Corley 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 4.50 seconds

Malachi Corley projects as a Z receiver and will be able to work from the slot. Most of his production in college was generated by his run-after-catch ability, which is essentially lightning in a bottle. Corley is considered a top-100 prospect by most NFL teams and is projected to end up a day-two pick. Personally, I believe he has shades of Deebo Samuel to his game and would fit into a similar role.
