2025 NFL Draft: Alabama QB Jalen Milroe Draft Profile and Scouting Report

Jalen Milroe first stepped into the spotlight in 2023 when he earned the starting QB job for Alabama. In his first season as a starter, Milroe threw for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns, while only throwing 6 interceptions. Additionally, he rushed for 12 touchdowns, leading the Crimson Tide into the CFP. Returned in 2024, putting up similar stats, except for a reduction in touchdowns from 23 to 15. Further, he threw 10 interceptions in 2024.

Jalen Milroe 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 4.39 seconds

Jalen Milroe is a two-year starter at quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Has thrown a 65% completion percentage over the two seasons. He possesses adequate height and solid weight for the position when compared to the average. Our projected 40 time of 4.39 seconds is much quicker than average.

Milroe has excellent athleticism to overcome low snaps in shotgun. He possesses solid accuracy when throwing outside of the pocket. He’s a dual-threat at quarterback with excellent acceleration and top-end speed. Runs like a running back with a gas tank that doesn’t seem to empty.

However, he has struggled with accuracy on intermediate throws, especially this season. When feeling pressure, he has below-average poise in the pocket. Additionally, once pressured, he flounders to turn the negative into a positive.  Seems unable to reset his feet to deliver an accurate ball when climbing the pocket to escape outside pressure. Finally, I’d like to see him utilize touch on more of his throws, including those in the redzone.
