2025 NFL Draft: Arizona OL Jonah Savaiinaea Draft Profile and Scouting Report
Jonah Savaiinaea began to gain recognition as a true freshman in 2022 as a starting right guard for the Wildcats. He transitioned to right tackle during the 2023 season, displaying his versatility. For the 2024 season, Jonah Savaiinaea saw time at both offensive tackle positions. He missed time each season, albeit only a game or two each season. As a result, he has played over 2,400 snaps for the Arizona Wildcats.
Jonah Savaiinaea 40 Time
Projected 40 Time: 5.07 seconds
Jonah Savaiinaea is a three-year starter on the offensive line for the Arizona Wildcats. Spent most of the 2024 season at right tackle, which I believe is the most natural position for him. He is a bit undersized as an offensive tackle when compared to the average, but on par for an offensive guard. Our projected 40 time of 5.07 seconds is much quicker than the average.
Jonah Savaiinaea has above average athleticism to reach the second-level and execute a block. He does a solid job of anchoring against the edge rush in pass protection. Additionally, he displays a good ability of handling twists and spins off the edge without panicking.
However, Savaiinaea does struggle to handle aggressive hands off the edge, typically resulting in a good amount of room yielded. Further, I’d like to see him improve his footwork to better handle situations.
Recruiting Bio
Jonah Savaiinaea graduated from St. Louis High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a consensus three-star recruiting prospect out of high school. He scored an 87.13 On3 Industry Ranking, which was good enough for 650th nationally.
Prior to his commitment to Arizona, Savaiinaea had offers from Hawaii, Arizona State, UNLV, and Syracuse. In June of 2022, Jonah Savaiinaea announced his commitment to play for Arizona. He officially enrolled in January of 2022.
