Landon Jackson 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 4.78 seconds

Landon Jackson is a three-year contributor on the defensive line for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He made spot starts in 2022, but really came alive in 2023. He’s spent most of his time as a true edge rusher for the razorbacks, playing both defensive end and outside linebacker. He possesses excellent height and weight for the position when compared to the average. Our projected 40 time of 4.78 seconds is on-par with defensive ends, but slightly slower than outside linebackers.

Jackson has excellent lateral agility on the line of scrimmage to beat the offensive tackle and pressure the pocket. He shows explosiveness out of his stance and plays with combative hands. He’s capable of shedding blocks quickly in the trenches at the point of attack. He’s typically lining up outside of the offensive tackle, but shows on film an ability to win inside.

However, I would like to see him incorporate more moves into his pass rush plan. He has shown a tendency to only rely on a few moves that he’s comfortable with. Additionally, I find that he struggles with balance in the trenches to remain upright through contact.

Recruiting Bio

Landon Jackson graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in Texarkana, Texas, where he played football for head coach Josh Gibson. Out of high school, he was a consensus four-star recruit. He scored a 92.24 On3 Industry Ranking, which was good enough for 158th nationally.

Prior to his commitment, Landon Jackson had offers from Alabama, Texas, LSU, and Arkansas. In April of 2020, Jackson announced his commitment to play for LSU. He enrolled in January of 2021.

However, after one year at LSU, Landon Jackson entered the transfer portal in December of 2021. Shortly afterwards, he announced his transfer to Arkansas.
