Ashton Jeanty 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 4.45 seconds

Ashton Jeanty graduated from Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas. He was a three-sport athlete, also competing in basketball and track and field. In football, he played on both sides of the ball, specifically RB, WR, S, and EDGE. Jeanty is a couple of inches shorter than the league average, but has solid weight. Our projected 40 time of 4.45 seconds is about a tenth quicker than average.

On film, Ashton Jeanty displays elite contact balance to remain upright and committed to gaining additional yardage despite contact. He keeps his feet moving at all times and is a relentless runner. Possesses excellent top end speed with a fuel tank that doesn’t seem to empty. Shows to have very good acceleration at the snap to get outside and into space in the flats quickly.

However, it should also be noted that Ashton Jeanty’s style of running is to seek out contact and impose his will on defenders. As such, his overall workload and mileage on the engine are likely to be scrutinized. Additionally, he struggles to maintain positive pass protection technique, which might be attributed to his lack of size.
