Mike Green is an athletic outside linebacker whose production exploded when he transferred from Virginia to Marshall. He’s a raw edge rusher, but has won at the collegiate level with exceptional athleticism. He finished the 2024 season with 84 total tackles, 38 of which were solo, along with 23 tackles for a loss and 17 sacks. Mike Green 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 4.59 seconds

Mike Green is a three-year contributor at outside linebacker. He’s spent the last two seasons at Marshall, but began his collegiate career at Virginia. He possesses good height and weight for the position when compared to the league average. Our projected 40 time of 4.59 second sis a tenth quicker than average.

Mike Green shows good twitchiness on the line of scrimmage to penetrate the pocket inside when up against offensive tackles. Displays exceptional quickness off the line of scrimmage to attack the ball quickly, especially on outside runs or when pursuing the ball up the middle. He’s a high-motor rusher that won’t give up on the play easily.

However, he does show a tendency to bite early when setting the edge, opening up the outside run. When defending the read-option, Green struggles to identify the ball. He’s an athletic rusher, but is still rather raw and will need to further develop in order to be successful long-term.

Recruiting Bio

He scored an 87.67 On3 Industry ranking, which was good enough for 410th nationally.
