2025 NFL Draft: Michigan DL Mason Graham Draft Profile and Scouting Report

Mason Graham is a relentless defensive lineman that excels at penetrating the interior of the offensive line. The Michigan Wolverines have used him at defensive end as well, which is a position that he can play in a pinch. He’ll need to develop additional pass rush moves and lacks elite body bend, but has been very successful for the Wolverines as a two-year starter.

Mason Graham 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 4.97 seconds

Mason Graham is a three-year contributor on the defensive line for the Michigan Wolverines. He typically plays one of the two defensive tackle spots, but has been moved to defensive end at times for the Wolverines. Graham possesses solid height and weight for the position when compared to the league average. Our projected 40 time of 4.97 seconds is a tenth quicker than the average for his position.

On film, Mason Graham has good quickness off the line of scrimmage to fight through pressure and get into the backfield. He shows capabilities of keying the ball and attacking quickly when buried in traffic. Once free of the offensive line, he shows good closing speed to attack the quarterback.

However, when rushing the passer off the edge, I find on film that he has a difficult time of shedding blocks. Additionally, I’d like to see him refine and add additional pass rush moves into his arsenal to beat offensive linemen consistently.

Recruiting Bio

Mason Graham was a four-star recruiting prospect out of Servite High School in Anaheim, California, where he played football for head coach Troy Thomas. He also started at offensive tackle in high school. In addition to football, he also competed in wrestling. He scored an On3 Industry Ranking of 90.19, which ranked him 298th nationally.

Prior to his commitment to play for Michigan, Mason Graham had scholarships from lower tier programs in the country. These included UNLV, Fresno State, and Utah State. In May of 2021, Graham received an offer from Boise State. A few months later, he announced his commitment to play for the Broncos. However, a month later he began to be heavily recruited by the Michigan Wolverines. He officially visited them in September of 2021 and flipped his commitment a few days later. He enrolled at Michigan in January of 2022.
