2025 NFL Draft: Michigan DL Kenneth Grant Draft Profile and Scouting Report
Kenneth Grant first popped onto the scene in 2023, here he made spot starts on the defensive line for the Michigan Wolverines. He became a full-time starter in 2024 and has performed rather well. He’s a run-stopping nose tackle that is rather agile for his size and possesses a knack for finding and attacking the ball behind the line of scrimmage.
Kenneth Grant 40 Time
Projected 40 Time: 5.06 seconds
Kenneth Grant is a three-year contributor at defensive tackle for the University of Michigan Wolverines. He made five starts last season, but become a full-time starter in 2024. He possesses solid height and good weight for the position when compared to the NFL average. Our projected 40 time of 5.06 seconds is solid, however, he appears to be much quicker on film.
Kenneth grant fights through the offensive line quickly and with ease with his combative hands and high-motor. He sheds blocks and gets upfield very quickly for a defensive tackle of his size. Maintains good contact balance when fighting through double-teams to remain upright. Displays solid timing and agility on stunts to redirect and penetrate the pocket. Further, he shows to have good body bend when rushing the passer off the edge.
However, he can be a touch late to locate the ball when he’s engaged with an interior offensive lineman. Additionally, I’d like to see him time his twists better to redirect back inside to penetrate an open lane.
Recruiting Bio
Kenneth Grant was a four-star recruiting prospect out of Merrillville High School in Merrillville, Indiana, where he played for head coach Brad Seiss. All of the major recruiting outlets had Grant listed as a top 50 defensive lineman in his recruiting class. His On3 Industry Ranking was a 90.39, which ranked him 277th nationally.
Prior to his commitment to Michigan, Kenneth Grant had offers from some of the top programs in the Big Ten, including Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Illinois. In September of 2021, Kenneth Grant officially committed to play for the Michigan Wolverines. He enrolled in July of 2022.
