2025 NFL Draft: Texas OT Cameron Williams Draft Profile and Scouting Report

Cameron Williams made one start last season against Kansas State, but has stepped into the starting role at right tackle this season for the Longhorns. He’s part of a Texas offensive line that has been named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, which recognizes the most outstanding offensive line in college football. If he declares for the 2025 NFL Draft, Cameron Williams might be in the conversation as a first round prospect.

Cameron Williams 40 Time

Projected 40 Time: 5.29 seconds

Cameron Williams is a one-year starter at right tackle for the Texas Longhorns. He only has one season of starting experience, but has been able to make the most of it. He has the ideal height and weight for offensive tackle in the NFL. Our projected 40 time of 5.29 seconds is average for the position.

Williams displays good ability to punch and stun edge rushers to neutralize the rush when blocking the run. He processes quickly and can pickup delayed blitzes without panicking. He shows to have a good ability to swat swat the defenders hands to establish leverage across all fronts. When blocking the run, he drives and steers the defender to create running lanes quite well.

However, Cameron Williams displays below average athleticism to block the run at the second level. This also includes when he has to pull and block out in space. When in pass protection, I find that he yields a great amount of space when attempting to absorb contact off the edge.

Recruiting Bio

Cameron Williams graduated from Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. He was ranked as a four-star recruiting prospect by On3, ESPN, and Rivals. On3 had Williams ranked 85th nationally. He scored a 90.90 On3 Industry Ranking, which was good enough for 243rd nationally.

Out of high school, Cameron Williams had offers from USC, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas, along with many others. In July of 2021, Williams announced that his commitment to play for the Oregon Ducks. However, in December of that year, he flipped his commitment to Texas. He officially enrolled in June of 2022.
