NFL Draft: Who Should Have Gone First?
The 2020 NFL Draft remains the most unique event of its kind. While teams have high hopes for their selections, whether or not they made the right choice is unclear.
Cincinnati sure hopes they made the right selection by taking Joe Burrow No. 1 overall. However, Chase Young, who went No. 2 to Washington, was considered the draft’s top pro prospect. Other quarterbacks dotted the top-10, including Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa at No. 5 and Los Angeles’s Justin Herbert at No. 6.
Despite instant draft grades and talk, most pundits and analysts normally reserve...

Gambling on NFL games in nothing new, but specific proposition bets haven’t been around that long. Redrafting the 2010 NFL Draft
Across all professional sports, franchises look back at draft decisions and sometimes shudder. Every team makes mistakes. The draft is an inexact science. But some mistakes cost general managers and coaches their jobs, while others set franchises back for years. Look at Oakland’s selection of Jamarcus Russell No. 1 overall in 2007. Here, we’ll go back ten years, redrafting the 2010 NFL draft.
After 10 years, it’s easy to look back and see the mistakes. Although not every team botched their first-round pick, many missed the mark completely. Of the 32 players selected in...
Today, we will be diving into a new series here on NFL Draft Lounge, as I take a deep dive into the 2020 draft classes for each of the 32 teams. We'll start with the Cardinals draft. The 2020 NFL Draft has come and gone. 255 collegiate athletes have fulfilled their lifelong dream of hearing their name called to join an NFL roster. In this series, we will be looking at each NFL team’s individual draft and reviewing just how well the team did at adding the next wave of talent to their roster.
Most experts would say the Kansas City Chiefs' first round pick, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, was a great pick.
He has the traits that make him a perfect fit for the team. The Chiefs have been in need for a running back to help their running game. Kansas City was ranked 23rd in rushing yards and didn't have a runner get over 500 yards in the season. Finding a consistent starter would help their running game. Edwards-Helaire could be that guy and could be one of the best draft picks in 2020.
Where Clyde Edwards-Helaire Can Help

Every team comes out of the draft feeling like winners for picking their top prospects. Experts will have their opinions on whether they made the right pick or not. NFL teams sometimes need to take a risk on a pick to try to put them over the top. Here is a list of five players that are considered risky picks.
Draft Risk: Jordan Love, QB, Packers
Anytime a team picks a quarterback in the first round of the draft when they already have a great quarterback is risky. The most obvious reason is Aaron Rodgers won't be too happy...
Before the Cincinnati Bengals made Joe Burrow the No. 1 overall draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, there had been 15 QBs taken first in the last 25 years. Entering the 2020 NFL Draft, 24 quarterbacks have been drafted 1st overall in the Common Draft Era (since 1967). Of those 24, four have won an NFL MVP and six have won a Super Bowl MVP, but none since a Manning. Only Terry Bradshaw, John Elway and Peyton Manning have won both. Bradshaw sported a .677 winning percentage as a starter, with Elway just behind at .641.
The NFL Draft has come and gone for the 2020 season. For the most part, there weren't too many surprises outside of Jordan Love to the Packers and Jalen Hurts to the Eagles. Most teams stuck with their game plans and got their guys. First rounds are usually the easy part for NFL teams. The tough part is finding players outside the first round who can make an immediate impact. Here is a list of five players picked outside the first round who could be potential stars.
Potential Stars: Cam Akers, RB, LA Rams: Round 2, Pick 52
The New York Jets draft started hot with the selection of Mekhi Becton (LT, Louisville) on Day 1. I think the selection was the right one over Tristan Wirfs who I have some questions on his ability to play OT. They stayed put and got away with a blue chip tackle for years to come.
The Jets now have picks No. 48, 68 and 79 and I think we could see some trades here on Day 2.
With big question marks at WR, outside CB...
The 2020 NFL Draft was a historical night as it was the first virtual draft ever conducted. For the most part, the presentations from ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network went smoothly. Some teams were successful, while others had a tough night. Even some players won big and fell hard after Thursday night. So who were the NFL Draft Winners and Losers?
1st Round Winners
Of course Miami was a big winner after three first round picks that should impact the team right away. Tua Tagovailoa was the number one quarterback before injuries. His upside and arm talent could...
