The Reese’s Senior Bowl is an event where money can be won or lost. Similar to a casino, NFL Draft prospects push the chips into the center of the table, go all in, and bet on themselves. While there are plenty of examples of it not working out, there are also examples of it being positive for prospects. Zion Johnson, an offensive line standout from Boston College, took reps at center to showcase his versatility. Ultimately, Johnson came off the board at 17th overall to the Chargers.
This year, UNC interior offensive lineman Willie Lampkin is wowing everyone in attendance. He’s held his own in 1-on-1 drills, has showcased his athleticism, and has taken reps at guard and center. However, as players arrive in Mobile for the event, they go through measurements. For Lampkin, he measured in at 5′ 10 3/8″ and 270 pounds. Just for reference, the average height of an offensive guard in the NFL during the 2023 season was 6′ 3″.
Willie Lampkin hasn’t let his size stop him. He was impressive for North Carolinas and has continued that trend here at the Senior Bowl.

It’s likely that we see more of this from Willie Lampkin on the final day of practice at the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl. However, he has a lot to prove on the field and has done so thus far. If he shuts it down, I wouldn’t blame him.
