On Wednesday, the Reese’s Senior Bowl added Laurier QB Taylor Elgersma to their roster. With the addition, that brings the total number of quarterbacks on the Senior Bowl roster to eight. Elgersma led U Sports in passing yards, as well as yards per game, touchdowns, and QB rating. U Sports is the governing body for collegiate sports in Canada.
Elgersma won the 2024 Hec Crighton Award, which is awarded to the most outstanding player in U Sports. Further, he was also named the Most Valuable Player for Ontario University Athletics. Needless to say, Elgersma finishes university as one of the top prospects.
Taylor Elgersma participated in the College Gridiron Showcase and the Tropical Bowl, both of which are considered to be part of the All-Star Game circuit. The call-up to the Senior Bowl provides Taylor Elgersma the opportunity to showcase his skills against premier competition. Elgersma was likely to be one of the top Canadian prospects selected in the CFL Draft in April.
The 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl kicks off with practice on Tuesday, January 28th, through Thursday, January 30th. You can watch Taylor Elgersma, as well as the rest of the Senior Bowl roster, participate in the Senior Bowl on Saturday, February 1st. The game will be broadcast live on NFL Network. Additionally, we will have continued coverage of all the activities right here at NFL Draft Lounge.
