In a new home, Miami QB Cameron Ward is thriving. Through week three of the College Football season, Ward has three straight 300-yard passing games, totaling 1,035 yards. In addition to that, he has an impressive 11-1 touchdown to interception ratio. More importantly, Ward has the Miami Hurricanes ranked 8th in the country.
Cam Ward began his collegiate career at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, where he played for one season. Following the 2020 season, Ward entered the transfer portal, finding his way to Washington State. In two seasons with the Cougars, Ward averaged a 65% completion percentage, struggling to get his team over the hump in the Pac-12.
This past offseason, Cameron Ward once again entered the transfer portal as one of the hottest commodities at quarterback. The University of Miami gave him the best opportunity to showcase his skillset, which has been on full display through the first the games of the 2024 season. With Florida State and Clemson struggling to start the season, the ACC looks to be wide open.
Next up for Miami QB Cam Ward and the Hurricanes is a road game against South Florida on 9/21, but begin ACC conference play on Friday, September 27th as they host Virginia Tech.
