As we speak, 2025 NFL Draft prospects have settled into Frisco, Texas, for the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl. For those who have accepted invitations, this is their first opportunity to get in front of NFL Scouts since the season ended. Among them is Michigan IDL Kenneth Grant. For much of the season, the hype has surrounded his teammate and fellow defensive lineman, Mason Graham. We haven’t seen Michigan since their 19-13 bowl victory over 11th-ranked Alabama. Out of Graham’s shadow, Kenneth Grant seems poised for a breakout performance this week at the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl.
The Shrine Bowl consists of player interviews, media obligations, three practices, and finally, gameday. This year, practice kicks off on Saturday, January 25th. As I mentioned, it’s the first opportunity to get front-and-center with these prospects since the season ended. More importantly, it’s also the first opportunity that NFL coaches will have with these 2025 NFL Draft prospects. If you’re lucky enough to attend, you’ll see position coaches, as well as coordinators and head coaches, working hand-in-hand with these players.
Currently, I have a top-ten grade on Kenneth Grant. For someone his size, 6’3″ and 339 pounds, he has incredible quickness and acceleration. I have him projected to play nose tackle in the NFL, given his ability to fight through double-teams and plug running lanes with ease.
You can watch live coverage of practice on Lights Out Sports. They recently signed a deal to livestream practice for the game. In addition to Kenneth Grant, we’ll also have eyes on the rest of the Shrine Bowl roster. Be sure to follow NFL Draft Lounge for continued coverage of Kenneth Grant and the 2025 Shrine Bowl.
