Travis Hunter rose to prominence as a top-ranked recruit out of high school that chose to join head coach Deion Sanders at Jackson State, an FCS program. Throughout his time at the collegiate level, Hunter has shown up time and time again on game film making big plays to help his team on both sides of the ball. In 2024, he looks to cap off his time at Colorado with the Heisman Trophy.

He was the first HBCU player to ever win the Jerry Rice award, which is given to the most outstanding FCS freshman in the country.
