Welcome to draft week, the most exciting time of the offseason. Therefore, here is the entertaining and obligatory First Round Mock Draft. Keep in mind that I will not be trying to predict trades in this one but will simply select the players that I would take if I was in the front office of these respective teams. Hope you enjoy!
1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Trevor Lawrence has been the consensus top pick for quite some time. It is perhaps the only thing that has remained a constant throughout this whole process. The Jaguars secure their franchise man...
The 2021 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, bringing with it the end of mock draft season. This may be good news to some as, and I'm sure many of us feel this way, the exercise becomes quite tiresome this time of year. However, it's a fun way to past the time until Thursday. So, considering most of you have skipped over this and gone straight to your teams picks anyway, here is the final predictive 2021 NFL Mock Draft.
NOTE: These selections were made using The Draft Network's Mock Draft Simulator. They are predictive of who the teams would take...
After months of anticipation, the NFL Draft is less than a week away. This upcoming class promises to be one of the most polarizing in a long time. This is of course due to the quarterback talent. While the defensive talent is is not quite on par with the offensive, there are still plenty of fun prospects. On a personal note, this Draft season I did more work and preparation than I have in any season prior. After studying over 150 prospects in this years class, here is how they stack up in my eyes.
NOTE: These rankings do not...

Not a very valuable player in coverage at this point. Not an exceptional athlete and he struggles to identify the play as it happens in front of him. Does not gain the requisite depth in his drops...

Games Watched: Penn State (2020), Nebraska (2020)
Is a good player in coverage, drops to his zones very well and quickly Wish he would have gotten tested more because I have no idea what his ball skills are like....

Excellent in zone coverage as he reads the QB’s eyes very well. Similar to his father, Samuel does a fantastic job of attacking the ball in this aspect as well. Moves very well.
I really do not like him in man coverage...

A tremendously talented player in deep zone coverages. He does a fantastic job of reading the QB’s eyes and sees the field well when reading route concepts. Has good enough speed to play as a single high player and cover the...

Amari Rodgers has terrific, natural hands at the catch point. Great at always using his hands and not allowing the ball into his body. Despite his size and stature, does a great job of always catching the ball through contact as well
Bengals Twitter has devolved into quite the war zone in 2021. Those who want the team to pick Penei Sewell (“Team Sewell”) and those who want Ja’Marr Chase (“Team Chase”) have at this point fully staked their claims, while a minority of fans stake out “Team Pitts” or “Team Trade" territory. A trade seems increasingly unlikely, as Bengals’ Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin downplayed the idea in a recent podcast. Indeed, barring anything shocking, it seems that either Penei Sewell or Ja’Marr Chase will go to the Bengals with the fifth overall pick. In this post I’d like...
