A thankless job in the National Football League is that of the NFL Draft Scout. Countless hours are spent by them breaking down film over and over again as they try to identify diamonds in the rough. Scouts spend most of their time on the road speaking with coaches and interacting with prospects. However, one prospect that NFL Draft scouts won’t have a difficult job identifying is Arizona State RB Rachaad White.
In May, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. released his top ten NFL Draft prospects at every position. Cracking the list was Rachaad White. However, over the last few months, White has crept up Kiper’s list. In fact, this month White found his way into Kiper’s top five running backs.

It only makes sense that as the season progresses, and if White is able to play at a high-level, that NFL Draft scouts will follow Kiper’s lead and mention him more and more often. Furthermore, I fully expect NFL Draft analysts to follow suit and move Rachaad White higher in their rankings, too.
Below, I’ve embedded a tweet that highlights Rachaad White’s abilities as a runner. Notice how quickly he’s able to hit the second level and then hits his second gear for the downfield score.

What’s Next For NFL Draft Scouts And White?
As a Redshirt Senior, White is the perfect candidate to play in the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl. A solid week of practice in Mobile has been enough to raise the Draft profile of multiple prospects. There’s no reason to believe that Rachaad White won’t benefit from the same push if he’s able to impress scouts and coaches with his determination and consistent effort.
